Re: Triple Saddle positioning woes
I did a bunch of measuring and figuring today and came to the conclusion that the tandem positions will work where already installed, which is amazing to me since I was figuring for a 195 stern and a 130lb Bowman. There's 4 inches of foam between each of the 3 triple saddles, so to make the solo cen...

Re: Triple Saddle positioning woes
Ideally, both. When set up for proper tandem though, the middle seat is too far forward, and handling/turning suffers.

Triple Saddle positioning woes
Just got an old Mad River Howler and am repositioning the saddle. It has a triple which has been cut apart at some point, but is currently scabbed back together with some minicell. The issue is, with this being an asymmetrical boat, that when the saddle is in the right spot for tandem, it's wrong fo...

Re: Soft Royalex / Delamination?
If you can flip the boat and mash it you should be able to tell where the soft spots are. If the foam is delaminating from the plastic and crushed, IMO, you should probably start hunting for a new one. However, I successfully opened up a bad delam with crushed foam, cleaned out the bad foam and buil...

Re: C1 single pull skirt and thigh strap release.
That might work for you. It's not as much which way the hinge on the cam buckle swings as it is the direction of pull of the straps from the cam when released, which is up and back. Also, on my conversion, the QR cord was redirected up and over the bulkhead and a thwart, so the direction of pull on ...

Re: Install toggle switch for pump bulkhead outfitting
I mounted the toggle switch into an 1.5" abs pipe cap, drilled a similar sized hole with a hole saw into the top of the bulkhead, a little deep so the switch is recessed, then fish wires through the foam with a piece of wire, make the connections, and push the cap into place. The connections will ev...

Re: Stock thwart lengths for Esquif Prelude?
Well, Esquif reports a "width" of 25" for the 'lude. I was trying to figure out if this was at the tumblehome or the midpoint of the gunnels, and thanks to your help, I found it must be at the midpoint of the gunnels. The tumblehome is several inches wider when using the thwart dimensions given here...

Stock thwart lengths for Esquif Prelude?
Hi!
Trying to find out the lengths for the stock thwarts for an Esquif prelude. Bolt hole to bolt hole is fine.
Thanks!
Dan
