Re: playboat c1s

my only concern was that it might make enough of a difference to the area right around the cockpit to make a difference in fit. i was thinking the 48 would be best, but just wanted to make sure. thanks.

Re: Reaching Canoeing Nirvana

gnarlyness would be firing up a class 3+-4 drop, even if you know youre probably going to swim.
it could also be defined as running those same drops and styling them repeatedly.

ive seen people kneel on the tube in an ik and paddle it with a single blade. then you could do that through whatever rapids you felt like, and sit down in normally anytime you didnt.

Re: Mohawk Viper 11 vs Probe 11/ 12 vs Outrage?

just get a probe 11. you know you'll like it, and it really is a nice boat. feels much more responsive than the 12. if you go with the viper, try it first. it does have a good bit of edge.

Probe 14 with a triple saddle. No, it's not the traditional, bUt it is the best set up and will let you use it truly solo as well as tandem.

Re: Option vs. L'Edge

Come to the nantahala next weekend. There'll be an option there you can run through the falls a few times. I echo why Jeremy said as well- the extra 300 is a nice thing.

Yeah, get the option. It'll fit you well and you'll love t. Or you could get an ion- if you aren't doing super steep creeking, it works just fine.
