Re: Ever thought about building a whitewater SUP?

smurf- i just got a set of fins from a friend who broke a board, and i think i will probably just epoxy them into the one i'm making without a box, as it is just going to be for one trip to the beach probably probably, and they are only 4.5 inch fins, so i could use them elsewhere. thanks for the he...

Looking for old outfitting (footpegs)

i need footpegs for a project i'm working on. if you have an old beater boat, or just pulled out your footpegs, i want them. i would be willing to pay shipping as well as a little extra for them.

Re: Ever thought about building a whitewater SUP?

just out of curiosity, which fins/fin boxes did you use? i went on the foamez site, but was having trouble figuring out which boxes to get and which fins would fit.

Re: Hope Louie and Alex are OK...We need rain, not tornados!

as of two seconds ago, louie was alive, well, and kicking as normal. hope no more hit. however, there was some destruction around the tellico area, leading to thoughts of new wood that'll have to be removed before the race.

Re: I WTB a used OC1 at Canoecopia

the reason you dont see many people talking about it is it is an older style boat. it's still a great boat, it just isn't radical and new. it's stable, fast, and fairly maneuverable. it's fairly easy to paddle, so you won't get frustrated very much (i paddled one when i was 7 and still have it) but ...

Re: Who would want it and why? The adjustable...

I know exactly what length I want when the river is up and when the river is down - and they aren't the same length. And both are longer than will fit in all but my bigger solo craft. I'm not sure I'd want to depend on an adjustable one day in and day out, but it sure would be handy for a spare - j...

Re: Who would want it and why? The adjustable...

select already makes some that are. i'm personally concerned about the strength of the joint, but if that could be ironed out and made so it doesn't get in the way, i'd love one that went from 54-60.

Leland Says: "Stand Up!"
good article, written by a great paddler, with a good message. you sometimes get frustrated learning this way, but this article reminded me of why i appreciate my dad teaching me this way.

Re: critique my roll?

i personally feel that a powerface roll puts my shoulder into more danger. it tends to hurt a good bit more, and i am no where near as consistent, so i do the old flip the paddle, back of the blade roll. havent missed one that wasn't caused by getting ripped out of the boat since i got the ion.

Re: skirt for extrabat

i know i could reshape the cockpit, but id rather not try to mess with it. it would be much easier to just find a skirt that fits it. today, i was paddling with the person i bough it from, and she had a level six skirt that worked. i also saw another person there with a peakuk skirt on another boat ...

Re: skirt for extrabat

ok- first of all, i'm near asheville, nc. it does have a very small cockpit- shorter than from my toes to my knees by a few inches. i am using a perception harmony skirt of my dad's, which fits but is loose on the front. i'm pretty sure mine is the original size, considering the previous owner is pr...

Re: skirt for extrabat

I don't know how much you see PeakUK gear over your side of the pond, but their C1 slalom decks fit the extrabat quite well of the peg. we actually see it quite a bit out here. in fact, ill be at a dealer tomorrow for some other stuff- i'll see if they can get one in. i never expected to have this ...
