C-Forum is on pause
Adam and I have decided that with the decline of forum usage (as people migrate to reddit or facebook or etc) the amount of effort we put in to managing it is too much. We've been hosting and managing CBoats and the C-Forum for over 20 years and we've loved being part of the community. So for now we...

Might be interested (I'm in AZ but in Carson City a lot too). Let me think. Will also forward this to another AZ paddler who might be interested...

Re: NH to southeast?
I'll be passing through NH in late June. I can hold on to it in DE or pass it off to Kneal to get it closer, or find some other way to get it to you.

Re: Sawyer canoe transportation
FWIW, I'm tasked with picking it up mid-September, but if anyone else is available sooner or as a backup, I'm sure Kneal would appreciate the knowledge.

Very nice! I know it's hard to reinforce with fiberglass but still have enough wood grain coming through, and it looks like yours is spot-on! Beauty!

Re: A few site updates...
It's possible you were searching at exactly the time I was updating the header? If I'm updating a file, there's a 3 second window where it can cause weird behavior like that. Or maybe it was during some maintenance being performed.

Re: Just an idea...
Having investigated the Google calendar option, the down side is that there's no way to moderate the events. If I make my calendar public and allow people to subscribe to and add events, there is no stopping a "bot" or malicious user from adding bogus events and that's an added burden on us admins a...

Re: Just an idea...
Jakke, I like your idea of Google calendar integration. Simply out of curiosity I'll take a look at what that would entail. I have a feeling that it wouldn't "play nice" because that would mean moderators being in charge of maintaining it, instead of a free-for-all approach - and I think it will onl...

We are more HTTPS friendly!
About a year ago, CBoats was able to support HTTPS - to make life a little more secure. However, we only supported it at https://cboats.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and NOT at https://www.cboats.net" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. Today, I am proud to announce t...

Count me in - and I will definitely need to borrow a boat or floatable object (as you probably already guessed)! Camping in the Adirondack's is certainly a perk.

Geez, I might have actually jumped in my seat. I wasn't expected that kind of tap! I was thinking about a nose breaching the surface, nudging the boat a little. Wow.

We are mobile friendly!
I've just made it so that the forum software will detect mobile browsers and automatically present you with a slimmed down version of the form to fit on your device! Woot! A few things to remember: 1. You can always switch back to the full version of the site by clicking the "Switch to full style" l...
