Where is the post about pulling in the gunnels on a L’edge

I’m looking for an old post about pulling the gunnels in on a L’edge to make it more snappy. It’s a pretty old post and I’ve tried a few searches to find it but to no avail. Anyone know where it is? I believe it had had comparison photos of one l’edge with pulled in gunnels and one as it came from t...

Re: C1 Conversion and recommended "Paddler Weight"- Need Advice!

Id like to add to my opinion that I don't think you would go wrong with the 9.0. It would still be fun and also be ultra forgiving but at your weight you would not be able to utilize the design to its full potential. Even at 215lbs I can't use it to its full potential. The 8.5, on the other hand, ma...

Re: C1 Conversion and recommended "Paddler Weight"- Need Advice!

At your weight and wanting to get vertical I would stay away from the 9.0. The 9.0 is just absolutely huge! I have a 9.0 converted and weigh 215lbs currently. I have also squashed the stern a bit. I need lots of current to get it in anywhere near vertical. At my weight all I am able to do reliably i...

Most notable C1 conversion?

Curiosity has me thinking about what the most notable C1 conversion from a kayak is? From days past or present. Was there a game changer? Did someone at some point throw some incredible move that no one thought could be done in a c1 in a certain boat? Was there a first conversion? Etc and so on...

Re: New Karma Med on its way - Where should my seat back be?

If you use the back band in the factory outfitting you will not have to worry about this at all. I use the back band in all my outfitting and I have a jackson zen and superstar. I'm constantly adjusting where I want to be in my boat depending on what I want to do, (ie stern squirt/stall vs forward t...

C1 and Oc1 Outfitting Ideas and Photos.

Not to take away from Cboats.net as its still a great resource for all things cboats. However, I started a facebook group called C1 and OC1 Outfitting ideas and photos out of frustration while trying to share some photos with a fellow cboats.net user. If you have photos or videos or need a place to ...

Re: Bend whitewater park, anyone have a boat I can borrow?

I just started a facebook group called "c1 and oc1 outfitting ideas and photos". I posted the superstar on the group page. its not very nice looking but can serve you as a good place to start. I drilled through the hull to attach knee straps but you could possible feed a piece of flat stock aluminum...

Re: Bend whitewater park, anyone have a boat I can borrow?

I have my Superstar set up so i can go from C1 to Kayak in 5 min. Pretty easy to do as long as it is not the crosslink style with the bar for a centre rail. I just hold my c1 saddle in with a nylon strap, raise the back band up with a piece of foam behind and underneath the bungee cord and drill a h...

Re: Bend whitewater park, anyone have a boat I can borrow?

2010 Superstar is a great conversion! It's what I use at home as well. I have since sold my 2010 4fun conversion because it was only slightly faster than the superstar and far too similar for me to justify keeping it around. I've only had it since March and it has taught me a lot. It's fast for a bo...

Re: Bend whitewater park, anyone have a boat I can borrow?

Thanks, I've posted on a bunch of Portland area facebook pages, I'll post in this one too. In the mean time Ive been down at the river working on my kayak roll so I can thrash around in a rental kayak. Should be fun either way.
