Re: European CBoat Armada 2012

I've not been checking this board enough!

I wish I could go but I am committed to a trip to the sea side that weekend..

I'm in Europe later in the year but will not be with paddlers so will likely have to leave the boats at home.

Rocks with names

the only named rocks i know of are:

Splat Rock - but since they changed the river there i don't think it splats anymore and is now called by some the rock formerly known as splat rock.

Suddenly Rock - on Bala mill falls.

You may see me Sunday but I can't promise.

Re: Washburn, Yorkshire. 4th-5th Aug.

I'd say it's as hard as you want to make it, couldn't think of anything worse than doing it in my k1 creekboat but it's fun in the C1 playboat! Mutch better than Teeside...... I'll be there anyway! I was in my ocoee at the time which is probably not ideal. It looks like there is no interest at home...

... its just worn out, its delaminating in places where nothing is glued. I was only commenting on the 2yr life span. All the dints and impacts are proving too much for the royalex, I'm assured the old dagger ocoees used to last much longer. But those days are long gone I think. maybe I should look ...

Is there anything else we could do up there?

I've paddled the washburn once and was a little underwhelmed.

How far is it to the tees WW course?

Soft bottoms again!

I know its anoying when people dredge up very old threads but I had to look for this one to see how old my ocoee is. It's a month short of two years. And its worn out, its sustained too many impacts and its delaminating all over the place. Its had it. I hate what its made of and I hate how long its ...

Converting my diesel 65

After seing how well C1 conversions paddled in switzerland last week I have decided to convert my diesel.

I have just taken out all the kayak seat and fittings. Now what?
Anyone got any good ideas? I was wondering if my wheel boy seat would fit it temporarily.

Thank you Matt and everybody for a fantastic few days paddling. I am glad I finally got to do the saana, its been on my to-do list for ages. I think my Ocoee must have been down Saana-S before, as it seemed to know the way. I am glad I didn't need to show anyone how my roll doesn't work. Though i th...
