This is not an " Oh I want to get into OC'ing" boat but rather an "oh I've got seven or eight, maybe I'll turn ...

boat recomendations

Any oc recomendations for for a middle fork salmon(Idaho, in Aug) trip? There will be raft support (i.e. I don't need to carry gear), the trip will be late summer (probably between 900-1300 cfs) and I had planned on paddleing a prelulde but I am finding it really squirrly and short...maybe that will...

thanks

This site is great, thanks for the responses to my original post. Just for the record I have a Dagger Venture (17' ww tripping tandem) that people could borrow if they'd want.....it gets use but not nearly enough.

Borrow, beg or buy

I am looking for an OC 1 near Seattle to borrow, rent (or maybe buy) for the month of March. Ideally a fully outfitted boat similar to a phantom, ocoee, or prelude.. ....I am lining up for a 8-10 day self support in Idaho and don't see my current boat ( an s-glass viper) holding up. Let me know if y...

Creeking vs Extended trips

Okay, so I have got a boat I love, a glass version of mohawk's viper, made in canada by clipper....but I am thnking of getting a new OC1 possibly a C1.

My question is do I have to choose between extended wilderness tripping ablilty, and ability to creek in it? Are there any good compromises?

OR coast range is new favorite

We paddled the Kilches (sp?) in the OR coast range. Beautiful crystal clear water 3+ to 4 nearly continous for about 10-12 miles. It was a bit bony at the top, but worth every scratch.
