Caption/Nexus

I own a Caption and recommend it highly. It is more manueverable and definately drier than a friend's Nexus. The Nexus seems wide and has less depth also. I think MRC is supposed to be bringing the Caption back, but I have not seen one yet.

Made the straps. I have them on my Outrage X. I don't thing they are produced anymore, but you could check.

Skeeter Ride

I have a friend who had a Skeeter shipped via UPS for less than $100 US. Worth looking at them and FedEx for reasonable shipping on smaller plastic boats.

Has anyone with vinyl gunwales tried (removing the deck plate and) adding a wider thwart in the end to add the flare? While I have not done it with an Outrage (My X has wood rails), I have done this with a MRC Guide with no ill effects. I made a few different lengths of wood to spread the gunwales ...
