Ride to Carolinas

Let try again to come up with transport - maybe something will materialize. You just know there are people making the trip from OH to SC, the tough part is finding them! John/Scott, I have family in the Charlotte area. I'll check and see when the next visit will be. Likely in Sept/Oct. Could haul i...

Tech cord...

The new tech cords on the market work well for prussik use provided you use the proper knots. 5mm diameter and 5K mbs is likely stronger than most throwlines out there. Thin enough diameter to work with most throwlines also. Price is a bit more than standard prussik cord.

e-mail me the particulars. I am the Ohio-Penn Chair for the ACA and will be going to the Feb. board meeting at the ACA office. Maybe I can get something done for you.

Thanks, Craig...

I have worked with this group on different occasions and it is amazing what they do with paddlers with disabilities. Any support given will be greatly appreciated and well used by this group. I can't understand why anyone would steal, but especially if they knew what this group does! Jon Slocum Amer...

New Prelude availability...

I just picked up a new one 2-weeks ago from Bernie at Whitewater Warehouse in Dayton. He still has a couple more, but those may be the last in the US. Havent had mine on water yet (to busy with work/teaching to finish the foam-out), but am looking forward to it. If anyone is looking for a new one, I...

Phreon, What river did you run? I live in Lebanon and instruct for WWWH in Dayton. Would be glad to get together and paddle sometime. We have a couple of good training rivers w/in a 1.5-2 hour drive (Rocky Fork Creek/Paint Creek in OH and Elkhorn Creek in KY). There are several other OC and C1 paddl...
