ISO: 16' parts boat in Appalachia
Hi Friends- I just bought a Dagger Legend hull- it had wood gunnels which are totally rotten and was missing all other outfitting. Mostly looking for vinyl gunnels I can take off of a boat that's otherwise toast. But won't say no to seats/thwarts. Will pay a fair price. Just think about how happy yo...

wtb 3 thwart raft
Need to diversify the boat collection. Looking for a 3 thwart. Bucket boat ok. Just need something for when there's lots of people who want to go down the river who don't know wtf they're doing. Trying to keep it around $600. Around Western NC, SW Virginia.
Thanks!
Thanks!

WTB: Thrasher tandem river boat
Trying to help a friend get out of a Coleman RamX and into a real royalex river boat. Trying to keep it cheap. Cracks, delam, exposed abs/foam, missing outfitting are all ok. Boats that would work: appalachian, legend, intrepid, camper, penboscot, blue hole, prospector, etc. You know, tandem river b...

Who pays for damaged gear in a rescue?
I was recently on a pleasure cruise with a bunch of friends on a local easy class II river. One of my friends wrapped his boat on the trickiest (arguably only "real") rapid on the trip. I was the only one in the group with any clue on how to unpin a tandem canoe full of water, and went about setting...

Re: rivets
Well, turns out the local hardware store doesn't have anything close to the right size. I ended up ordering the ones you suggested. Thanks for the tips, this has been a long time coming.

Re: rivets
Thanks for the feedback. I'm tempted to go with the expanding rivets due to price/availability. Is this a terrible idea? I definitely don't want to mess up a brand new gunnel set, either....

rivets
I'm putting a new mad river vinyl gunnel on an old blue hole tandem boat (not sure what model). My plan is to just get some aluminum rivets from the hardware store. Any opinions on what size I oughta get?
Thanks!

Re: canoe blue book... CAPTION
If I had an immaculate caption that was totally outfitted, I would not sell it for anything less than 1200. Somebody would eventually buy it.

H2Pro as tandem?
I've seen some people mention outfitting the H2Pro for tandem, but can seem to find any reports on how it actually handles. I'm looking at outfitting one for me (190#) and my soon to be wife (115#). I've got a dedicated river tripper (Appalachian) and a big water tandem (Canyon), so this would be mo...

Nice video Dan! I went down the lower part last week for the clean up. Let me know next time you're heading that way! I'm stoked to go down.

Re: What is the Mohawk Shaman like to paddle?
The Shaman is an awesome boat. I would say it's faster than an outrage but not as dry. It excels on upstream maneuvering. Overall, it's just a really fun boat to paddle, especially compared to the barge like nature of the probe. If it's a good price in good shape you wont regret buying it!

WTB: Women's S or XS Dry/splash top
I'm hunting for a dry top or splash jacket for my fiance. A womens small would probably fit best, but maybe an xtra small. Looking for something affordable that will do for the meantime.
Thanks!

Hey Rev, Check out the Facebook group Asheville Armada. Lots of friendly c-boaters there who love to share in the fun. I don't think it's a private page, if you have trouble getting onto it, let me know and I'll figure out how to invite you. On another note, you just went from one of the most univer...
