Hey Everyone,
Thanks for the feedback and comments. It's very much appreciated! I have a demo of each lined up and will post my experience after I've had some time in them both.

Don't need the sports car...
Hey Big Al,
Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it. Nope - not looking for a sports car - got a couple C1s for that!
But I like your description and it fits with my impression of it so far. A big, smooth, stable ride that'll get ya to the takeout comfortably.

Esquif Raven Questions or Feedback?
Howdy Fellow Single Bladers, I'm strongly considering an Esquif Raven as my next OC1. I've had two quick test paddles in it and really enjoyed it. I'm wondering if anyone else has one or can offer some feedback. Pros, cons, etc. And what size air bags fit best? 60" or 54"? I'm 6'3", 245 lbs and a so...

Suggestions/advice needed for Caption outfitting...
Howdy Folks, So I bought a new Caption. Turns out Mad River is making them now...it seems a little wider than the Dagger version but looks good nonetheless. I'm wondering two things: 1. What size air bags do people recommend? 2. Does anyone have suggestions or advice for saddle placement? (Obviously...

Hello from the Great White North!
Fellow Single Bladers, Hello from the Great White North!~ First of all: I MUST apologize for "dropping off the radar" for MUCH longer than I expected. 4 years ago I moved from Ottawa, Ontario to Whitehorse, Yukon. For those of you not familiar with the beautiful country of Canada, that is a d...

Hey Everyone!
Just a quick note to all my C-boatin' friends: I'm sorry I haven't been contributing much...It's been a hectic winter and I've had lots on the go... But I check in often and it's good to see some new "faces" on the board as well as lots of exciting news from others around the world... I will hopeful...

My thoughts...
Hey Folks, Don't know if this response is too late in coming or not but....I'm about 6'3" and a tad heavier at about 225lbs plus gear on top of that....so I went for the H3 255 without even considering the 245. Quite simply: It is an amazing boat. I did A LOT of research before making my choice. Qui...

Just a rumour....
Sir Adam, Not only have I never heard of Corran winning the Worlds in a Departure, I've never heard of him paddling one.....so I reckon it's just a river myth. I know he is friends with Ian...and they have shared design ideas etc...but Scriver was champ from '96 to '98 and Eli took it from '99 to '0...
