Quality breakdown paddle
Looking for a good quality, rigid whitewater breakdown canoe paddle. I have a blackfly option, probably need a 3 piece because of room. I have tried a aqua bound but seems a little spongy for me. There is a company in Canada that makes one that is really sturdy but cant find it online. Ed Powers has...

Re: C1 to OC1 or not
I have found that stretching is very helpful when it comes to any kind of c boating. Not only before and after paddling, but part of a daily routine. Assume the normal saddle position on the floor sitting on your heels and then reach out way in front with your hands, hold for 20 seconds or so and re...

Elbow Pads
Looking to purchase my first set of elbow pads. Searching for something that will stay on with a drysuit and short sleeves if possible. Hoping for a pair that wont get too waterlogged and too heavy. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Onside Forward stroke
Brought to my attention last weekend that the forward stroke is the strongest brace. Any opinions or comments? I happen to aggree with this ( in most situations ) saved my self quite a few times last paddle, shooting some diagnal currents over some small drops. A low brace definitely seems to slow y...

Re: narrowing a boat?
Used to pull my downriver racing boat thwarts in. It makes you a little faster. 2" is no problem.... You won't notice much difference as far as stability in your boat. You will be a little quicker........ Tiny bit less stable.
