I'm planning on going to CR this January and I would sign up for the rescue course. I may be going a week before then, actually I'm going solo and would like some advice on when to go.

Cali canoeists, Not many of us, but I lived in Arcata for 7 years and love the rivers around there. I live in Nevada city right now but plan on boating a lot this winter. Usually paddle with kayaks on class 4 and 5 but there are a few open boaters who are always up for class 3. I'm injured right now...

Oh, and my bow paddler has a broken fibula! No problem-we supported the ankle with inflated wine bags.
