Re: surfc1
Yes. I have an ic surf kayak converted to c1.
Have a look on Facebook search C1 Kayak Conversions.
It's a 3m boat. A real handful but it is so fast and fun. There is no better feeling than falling down the wave face in a surf specific boat.

Off side roll.
Hi, How do I set up to roll and come up on my offside. I can't fathom out even where to put my arms. Do I hold my paddle out in a twisted up low brace, in a high brace position or try and hold my paddle like I'm mopping the floor or something? I'm totally confused and just want to bail out when I tr...

Re: Help. My roll has gone! I'm looking down, but can't C-it
OKay. So I've been back out in lots of boats. The Spanish fly rolls fine. I've cut the saddle down to 8 1/2 inches and feels good. The Pyranha I4 conversion rolls, just. My Wheelboy back deck roll is sorted. Normal onside roll has vanished. Last night I was messing about and when trying to roll, i c...

Re: Help. My roll has gone! I'm looking down, but can't C-it
I can't really tell exactly what has gone wrong. My timing seems to have gone off, and my paddle ends up really deep. I can't remember what I was doing differently before. The Spanish Fly saddle is really high. It feels like I'm on stilts compared to the 5 and 6 inch saddles Ive got used to. I was s...

Help. My roll has gone! I'm looking down, but can't C-it!
I've lost the plot. I've been rolling my Wheelboy really easily. I've been rolling my i4 really easily. I've just got a Spanish Fly with a 10 inch saddle and even that on its first outing rolled 5 out of 10 times. I got back in my Wheelboy and although my backdeck roll is bomber, I no longer have th...

Curved blade versus flat blade
I was introduced to a flat paddle when I was learning to paddle traditional canoes and never really liked the feel of a curved blade. I still paddle my traditional canoe but also have a Wheelboy and a Prelude. I still use a flat bladed paddle. Am I missing out by still using a flat blade with these ...

Pyranha I4
Hi I've jut been given a Pyranha I4. I've paddled it a a kayak and found it does not have sharp edges. Has anybody had experience of these as a C1. I currently have a Prelude and a wheelboy. The giant cockpit does look inviting after squeezing my 6'3" in and out of a wheelboy!
