Re: Boat for Grand Canyon

Hey Paddle Power,
Glad to hear you had a great trip! What was the river level when you went down? Which outfitter did your group end up using? Would you recommend them?

We've won a date for summer 2018 - any recommendations on who to use as an outfitter would be appreciated.

thanks,

Re: Getting the young ones out in open boats

I also have a VertigeX that I use to paddle my kids around in. My daughter, 6, can essentially just sit there as I paddle down the rapids, and my son, 8, can paddle and do some draws so that he feels like he is taking part in controlling the boat. The only draw back is that the boat is fairly wide, ...

Re: shipping a canoe

I used KAS transport to get a canoe from Charlotte to Ogdensburg. Not sure how they compare to Old Dominion price wise, but they did a great job and all they do is move canoes and kayaks around the country.

Here's their e-mail kas@shipyourkayak.com

Re: shorten my paddle

Thanks for the suggestions folks. I'll try to modify it and let you know how it goes. Hopefully I don't make it too short.

shorten my paddle

So I purchased a Werner Natahala paddle last year. I decided that it was too long for my liking. Paddled again on the weekend and confirmed that I'd like to try and shorten it. Anyone know if this can be done? I'd like to cut the paddle and try and reinsert the grip, or purchase a new grip and secur...

Re: Removeable Saddle

Thanks for the responses guys and the pictures. Gives me an idea of what can be done. It'll be a little while until I modify the boat but will let you know how it goes, and likely ask more questions.

thanks again

Removeable Saddle

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with this system from northwater? Is it secure? Thinking of outfitting a OC2 with this set up for the bow and stern and maybe even the solo position.
