Looking for a helmet, want a visor for the sun and ventilation is important as I hate to be too hot. Suggestions?

Hello:
New to whitewater canoeing and picked up a Dagger Dimension that needs some repair. I think I am pretty clear on the process with the ABS and acetone but am wondering how warm it should be to attempt the repair. My directions say warm and dry conditions without any specifics.
