FS: Dagger "C-Force 6.3" $250

Sadly I haven't been boating in 2 years (I even had to ask Adam to reactivate my c-forums account). I've finally decided to sell my boat. It's a blue Dagger G-Force 6.3. Currently it's outfit as a C1. The outfitting is top notch. I've got snowboard bindings and a fence rail bolted to the hull. You c...

bad day...

Here's a story for you... I went to run the Noli Sunday but despite the warm temperatures the water was very cold. The Nolichucky headwaters run off from Mt Mitchell NC and surrounding mountains. A week or two ago them there hills got between 2 and 3 feet of snow and the river has been running off m...

GT / GTX

AldenB, The differences I see in the Daggar GT series and the H3 is above the waterline. H3's appear to have more volume - more creekboat like. Where the Gt's are more playboat like (planing hull RPM). Below the water line they are very similar indeed. I'd have to think that the H3s would be less li...

Low Volume Creeks

Which is better for low volume creeks? High volume boat or low (lower???) volume boat? Maybe that will answer my question.

Here in the SE the season's never over but...

This has been a tough year for me but I think I've made it though the roughest of it. Worst carnage? Right knee arthroscopy. A freak injury in March put me out of the boat until August. I missed a great summer of boating. We had great water all summer and all I could do was watch from shore, rehab a...

H3? Christmas is coming and the boat fund is getting fatter!

Tell me - H3 245 or h3 255 or does it really matter? Sorry for the lame rhymes and weak beats, here's the meat of the matter: I'm sort of on the weight line between the 245 and 255. I'm hovering between 185-195#s these days and I'm a leggy 6'-4". I have k1 friends paddling the 245 that weigh more th...

Roll psychology!

My combat roll has been improving by great strides in the last year. I feel I owe this to three things. 1. playboating - you never know which way you will fall over so you are always in some weird starting position. This has me progressing across the spectrum from going through the routine of settin...

2 questions related to the forward stroke

I have two questions related to all this forward stroke stuff. I paddle one of them flip-monkey boats (a g-force) and it takes a lot of corrections to keep it in a straight line. Typically I alternate on and off-side strokes and that tends to keep it pretty straight. Or I do a J. I try to stay away ...

I have some of me!

Here's two pictures of me. The first one is Bayless Boof on the Upper Green in NC. I'm in a Mr. Clean. <img src="http://www4.ncsu.edu/~jdschall/gifs/DaveBayless.jpg"> The second is the entrance to 10' falls on Wilson's Creek. Here I'm in a Y. <img src="http://www4.ncsu.edu/~jdschall/wsy/wilson1.jpg"...

It says they have odd sizes for sale. I wonder what they mean about odd sizes?

Gforce

 I've been paddling a g-force for about 1 month now that had very little use until I got it. I fear that this boat will only last 3 months if I am extremely lucky. The plastic is crap. Plain and simple. You can scratch it with your fingernail and it has a waxy feel to it. How is plastic that so...

Hey Chris.

Chris, Thanks for the tip... Yeah anytime you're around look me up. The Little is one of my favorite runs and I live 10 minutes from the Haw. Where are you in TN? Funny - I grew up in Knoxville and my parents live on the Plateau now. When I go home I almost never have any one to boat with either. Ma...

My Dream creek boat...

My dream creek boat would be a skeeter with a c1 cockpit and a skirt! High volume, stable, manueverable, good length for punching holes, decent boof, fun, and DRY! Probably would be pretty heavy though.

Yep

I went back to the lake last night and worked on the back deck roll some more. I was able to slow it down and figure out the 'real deal' so to speak. I can't say I got a truely 0 momentum back deck roll (maybe 1 of 20 tried) but I think it was a start. I was not able to work on transitioning to the ...

H2/H3 at 195#?

What size H2 / H3 should I look for at 195# nekid weight? I'm guessing my geared weight would be closer to 210 or 215. I suppose the 255 would be the pick of the litter? I'm seriously considering selling my Y and going the H2/H3 route for the same reasons listed above. The Y has its pros and I compl...
