Re: savage skreem
9" saddle in a 25" boat is going to be scary unstable. You're going to want to get it down around 6".

Re: Video for your ALF wishlist.
Great vid, though you did get the artist and song title wrong for one of the tracks.

Lap belt vs thigh straps
Ignoring the safety aspect, what offers better control and security in a C1: Bulkhead and lapbelt or bulkhead and thigh straps?
Do you need to have a fairly deep bulkhead with a lap belt to get proper control?

Re: loose C1 straps
The right cam buckle with the right strap will hold, mine never slip. In my other c1 I use aircraft buckles purely for durability issues.

Re: paddle length
This is by far the best thread I've seen on paddle length: https://www.cboats.net/cforum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5685" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Longer paddle gives you more reach, leverage and power. a 56" or 58" might feel goofy for a bit but once you're used to it I think you'll s...

Re: Off side roll.
I'm also curious if anyone out there uses this as a viable option when an obstruction is preventing an onside roll. I've manage to hit a few by doing an offside low brace but it's very difficult. I'm thinking you might be better off learning to switch hands under water and doing an off handed basic ...

Living room? That's the boat workshop. Rest assured the hull came out unharmed... coffee table's a write off though.

Re: Thigh strap/hip pad locations
Ok, thanks guys. So the position of my anchors looks good? I ordered it bare hull so no holes to work from.
Gonna work on it tonight.

Re: Thigh strap/hip pad locations
The problem I saw with putting the hip pads over the straps is that the straps would be constantly putting shear tension on the hip pads and eventually they'd come loose.

Thigh strap/hip pad locations
Just built my first C1, a Remix 69. I placed the upper thigh strap anchors in what seemed to be the optimal location, approximately 1.5" behind my hip bone. The issue i'm running into is I've decided I need hip pads but the thigh strap anchor is right where I need my hip pads. Is there a rule of thu...

Re: L'edge Lite - “Guillaume-fitting”
I added thigh straps to my ledge using the thwart bolts and passing a strap through the factory water transfer tube. Mind you this is in addition to the bulkhead, doubt it would be secure enough without the "wings".
