Re: Apartment/condo dwelling Cboaters
Hey Folks, I'm sure some of you have some good tips and tricks! Let's hear 'em . . . Easy! You make friends with a boater who has five acres, lives 10 minutes from the Chem. takeout, and has a big enough rack to transport your boat as well as his own. 8) I'll be sure to remember you said that!

Apartment/condo dwelling Cboaters
Hey Folks, Curious how all you cboaters living in apartments or condos handle the washing, drying and storage of boats and gear in compact spaces. I'm sure some of you have some good tips and tricks! Let's hear 'em and or see 'em. I'm currently lucky enough to have a decent sized garage but it could...

Re: Saltwood Paddles Vitamin C?
It'd have to be the second weekend in November, I'm not back in the motherland until November 3rd.
I will be looking to paddle some mainland rivers before the new year though!

Re: Is my paddle too long?
Personally, I find top of shoulder way too short. I like my T grip around forehead height. I have monkey arms though....

Just my opinion but a drysuit seems like the absolute last place you want to try and save money.

Re: Light L'edge v/s L'edge (responsiveness)
I haven't had the chance to paddle the light model, but I can comment on my decked L'edge. At 160 lbs, the only time I feel the boat is unresponsive is when moving it from a dead stop.

Re: Help choosing a versatile canoe
I went through this stage not too long ago, as most new boaters probably do. I think you'll find that any boat that works well for flatwater is only going to be comfortable in light class 3. Ive been paddling WW for about 8 months and already have 3 boats. I don't regret starting off in a prospector...

Re: Liquid Logic and Pyranha conversion questions...
Ok, answered one of my own questions. Emailed Liquid Logic and they got back to me within an hour and stated that, yes, they still sell bare hulls. They're the first company to return my emails at all.
My local dealer must not want my money.

Liquid Logic and Pyranha conversion questions...
Couple quick questions to help me narrow down my boat choices: Can anyone confirm that LL is still willing to sell bare hulls? I asked my local dealer and they told me LL will only provide bare hulls for warranty replacements. Is the stock rail in Pyranhas useable for conversions like the LL rail? T...

Re: Pumps
As we are, for the most part, in a non-competitive sport I find it pretty puzzling why people would be so passionate one way or the other. I'll personally (probably) never have a pump in my open boat. My attraction to open boats has it's roots in paddling traditional canoes on flatwater. Obviously I...
