Re: Does anybody know how to decipher mad river serial numbe

The gunwales are square. The camo seems to be too high quality and intricate for an individual to have done, and it appears to be under the gel coat inside and outside of the hull. I tried to add a picture but it says the file is too big. My next question is with this boat in pretty much like new pa...

Re: Does anybody know how to decipher mad river serial numbe

There is an "E" after the "MAD", so it's an explorer. The boat is Kevlar for sure. The odd thing is the boat is camouflage from the factory. Has anybody ever seen a camo Kevlar boat? Does that make it a duck hunter?

Does anybody know how to decipher mad river serial numbers?

I found an older mad river Kevlar 49 and I'm trying to figure out the actual model of the boat. The number is MAD1766M84B-KA. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Probe 12i/13 vs Outrage x

I have been looking to buy my first true whitewater oc-1 for a few months now. After a lot of reading and looking i have narrowed it down to these two options. I am 6' 250 lbs so im going to need a bigger boat. I have also found one each of these used, close to me, in good shape, and reasonably pric...

Re: Help choosing a versatile canoe

I had this same idea...so...I did a lot of research and determined that the Dagger/Mad River Legend 15 was the one boat that would do everything that i wanted to do. Moving flatwater, tandem trips with my girl, or buddies, and i could paddle it solo if nobody wanted go. Rated for up to class III whi...

Re: Outrage vs OutrageX?

It is a long way off and it is in the florida panhandle so no good place to paddle it. It is a wood gunnel boat i hear that is more desirable than vinyl.

Outrage vs OutrageX?

At 6'1 250 the X is the more logical choice, but i have found a deal on an outrage 12' and want to know if im just too big for it. One of the guys at Mohawk says Im not too big for a Probe 12, but i know they are different boats.

OC-1 for bigger driver

I have been paddling my Mad River Legend 15 solo for a while now. I bought it thinking it would suit all my needs. It is a great boat, don't get me wrong, however I would like to get a true whitewater OC-1. At 6'1 250+ i know i need a bigger boat, however I am paddling mostly steep creeks in North A...
