it is LARGE

HI

It is pretty large as it is .... back deck is about 5 cm higher than WB.

it is largest freestyle boat i have designed as it is. Roughly 60 gallons as a guideline for weight.

I'm strugling to handle the flotation on wheels.... but I can land highest of wavemoves and stick em.

HI After numerous hours of thinking sanding thinking testing sanding testing thinking and testing i came up with the fastest and most performing c-1 boat ever. I cant say anytihng else than it is loosest and fastest boat on wave I have ever paddled. Do not think it is easy. You will have to relearn ...

Weight, new vs. old WB vs. BB

HI

WB:

I think new one is 15% lighter, maybe even little more. It also has slightly different (better stiffness and wear
res.) plastic.

BB:

The Carbon Kevlar BB is 1.04 larger than WB at all directions inc rim dimensions too. That makes about 20-25 % of real volume. It is simply huge.

Keep the pillars

HI Keep the pillars they weight almost 0 and help with boyancy and safety too. I would recomend straps too. Straps can keep you tightly in a boat and help you relax, because you do not have to worry about sliding out of boat. Maybe you could try straps wich run slightly too far forward so yuo coulöd...

balance

HI

Better to keep the boat in balance. I think you should not move forward on WB. Keep the balance right. For it is just 50 mm between my but and back of rim. I 'm quite short too.

Keep the bow up and waterlevel to lower edge of tail and you are just perfect.

TO BILL

HI

Bills idea of cutting the knee wedges to hip grappers propbly works out fine.

I left the proto hip-grapper to production in june. Have to see what is wrong with it. I try not to interfere the production. I will only be on the way.

One more cool idea for looks

Best looking silver deck can be made out of beam glass. acually S-glass with metal coating made for satelite antennas etc.

The reflection varies little but most of them are really cool.. option for gelcoat and matches nicely black carbon bottom.

Inside of boat

Hi I have had best inside of the boat made out of thin 90 g-120 s.-glass. It is operfectly smooth and forms a nice skin to glue padding and also works fine for laminating additinal Kneecups because it is aesy to sand rough. Kevlar is large steaming pile of dog doo to sand due freing and seams stick ...

carbon and vinyl

HI

I need to warn about carbon... Corbon tends to laminate dry. it sucks resin in a funny way compared to CK kind of slow. ... do not leave it dry... it happened to me too many times...

I use 1000-1200 g / m2 of fibers for freestylers that do take same punnisment as squirts...

SEAMS

BTW: I have to say that I have had a great results using multiaxial glass in inside seams. If someone is in to saving. Same material works pretty well in hulls too. Much cheaper than thin wowen S glass and You can run a single clotch through slalom hull at optimal 60/60 -75/75 deg angle. I used 2 ck...

Vinyl !!

HI I do all my prototypes with vinyl these days. I have only good things to say working with vinyl. Price is great, less than 8 € kg inc. hardeners and accelrators. It is cheap. I generally use derakane 470-11. very easy to laminate and you can laminate with minimal crew even all alone. good stiffne...
