I've used two products before... 1. Vinyl-Tec available from Northwater at most paddling stores 2. Contact Cement available from any hardware store The problem i had was vinyl-tev worked great on anything vinyl (anchors, open canoe hulls) but didn't stick to my plastic kayak. answering my own question :)

Vinyl-Tec wont stick to the boat... so i used Vinyl-Tec to glue the anchor to a 1/4" piece of foam and then cemented that to the boat... it's nice and solid, but is up off the hull a bit... the Vinyl-Tec seems to hold well...

Vinyl-Tec and Outfitting
Does anyone know whether Vinyl-Tec bonds to the plastic kayaks? Is there an alternative that will bond to the plastic well and also to the Vinyl "D" Ring anchors? I know contact cement will do jack on the achors. Has anyone else made an anchor on the bottom of a kayak or somewhere where you probably...
