Hey Will- I picked up a set of brand new straps (Just like / if not the same as the old dagger straps) at GAF for 2 bucks. I'll donate them to the cause if it'll help. I think you might be able to get them at diamond brand for like 30 bucks each! Not sure if they are exactly the same but appear to be.

I heard they are dumping 750 cfs continually to drop the lake. I think that's about 200 cfs higher than when we ran the upper 2 weekends ago.

I only tried the maxim briefly last weekend (for the first time), and what it lacked in primary stability, it more than made up in secondary.

As i've said before, can't wait for this to be an option. Especially in something other than royalex.

I for one appreciate you putting the time into documenting your trips. There is always something I can learn from watching other people boat. It's also nice seeing creeks that I haven't run before, especially canoeing footage. So keep it up! There is something great about exploratory runs such as th...

Dominican Republic?

Anyone know anything about boating in the Dominican Republic?

All the info online I can find is targeted towards the tourist rafter.

I’m not the best at trip reports, but here you go; Bald River is small and technical in nature. I’d say that 2 or 3 of the drops are class IV, and 2 or 3 class III, with a definite class V (Suislide) directly after one of the IV’s (shallow falls). The first main rapid has a kinda right hand slot/chu...

Saturday

Louie,

What's the plan for tomorrow?

A friend and I are heading that way from Asheville. Were thinking about hanging out around the plateau. He has never done any of the rivers or creeks around there.

Welding a Taureau

Has anyone tried welding a Taureau?

We have material from a hatch cutout, so that's not a problem. I just wondered if anyone has tried welding that material (T-Form Elite).

Waiting to hear back from Esquif regarding this, but though I'd ask here as well.

Thanks-

Blue Hole Sequel

This is a nice boat. You can't find these anymore, especially in this condition. It's red and is made of that good ole' tough roaylex. It's lightly used, fully outfitted (including air bags). It's under 11 ft. The boat surfs really well, and is actually pretty fast for the size, $750. Go to the foll...

Anyone going to GAF- nanty fest?

I plan to be there Fri - Sun. Either camping at NOC or lost mine.

With all the rain, there are bound to be some options in the area.
