Thanks for the comments and comparisons. I probably should have guessed that I would ultimately need (want) one of each! I suspect that the boat I'm using must be full cut as I'm 210 lbs. and it is floating me pretty well; just a bit of water over the stern. I'll check in with you in the spring Adam...

Viper (Frachella) C1 vs. River Elf

Anyone paddled both that can offer a comparison?

A friend loaned me a Viper and I'm slowly getting used to not feeling my feet, and I guess getting fond of the boat.

Has me thinking that I may need to branch out from OC1 to C1.

I've had good results with G-flex on purchased loops/rings (e.g., Mike Yee outfitting). Rough up the boat with 60-grit; vacuum; apply the G-flex to the item; place on boat (leveled so patch is flat); roll/push out air bubbles; cover with saran wrap; lay over a thin sandbag, then a heaver, 10 lb. san...
