Re: Gyromax seat questions.
Thank you everyone for your assistance. Looking at a Z with this seat attached. I like my seats 4.5 to 5 inches so hopefully this will work out. Thanks again.

Gyromax seat questions.
Anyone got a picture of a typical Gyromax seat? Never seen one. What is it made of? How tall? Easily modified (lowered).I am considering a Z with a gyromax seat attached. Like my seats 4.5.

Lower your seat 3/4 or 1 inch. It will make a difference in many places. It may also throw off your outfitting a bit. But you can adjust that. The lower seat will feel different against your backrest as well. Try lowering your seat again if you feel comfortable with the initial 3/4 or 1 inch drop. P...

Paddle blade sinks.
Got my new paddle and I love it. Going to be my creeking stick. Just need it to float a little higher in the water. Blade and shaft are bomber. Thinking of using 1/8th neoprene foam in a couple of places. Tgrip and 5 inches are all that stick out now. I know a swim is coming up and I want to see mor...

Wave Sport Neo booties and Teva Sling Kings
I sit pretty low and have liked the Wave Sport Neo booties. If you can find them get them. I gave up and just bought a pair of Teva Sling Kings from REI. Ordered one size up as they run small. Hope to hit the USNWC Saturday and break them in. Was given a pair of Desperado shoes two sizes too big. I ...

Platex goves
I made the neoprene glove from the tracing. Thanks Mike Watson. Paddled Wilson Creek Wednesday with them. Just could not keep my hands warm. Gloves got heavy as well from the absorbed water. Changed to polypro glove liners under yellow diswashing gloves and stayed much warmer. I am sure it has been ...

Velcro
I use velcro for both knee and lap belt straps. Found a spot for the knee straps that I do not need to pull to get out. Tight when I need them, can loosen when I need the blood flow. Lap belt is what really keeps me on my butt in the boat. My release is a cord with 4 wiffle balls. So yes, I have to ...

Nomad is a C1 with the standard Dagger cockpit size. Super Fun is usually the xlxl size keyhole. The skirt fits them both with no problem. Easy fit for the Nomad. Fairly easy fit for the SuperFun which is a C1 conversion. Easy fit for the G force which is a kayak kayak. No problems coming off either...

Snapdragon Armortex Reinforced with Implosion bar
I use the Snapdragon armortex reinforced with the implosion bar. It fits my Nomad 8.5, Jackson SuperFun and when I get lazy, my Gforse 6.3 kayak. I sit low in the C1's, around 4.5. Would think seat height would factor in a little bit with standard kayak skirts. Appomattox river supply gave me the be...

Pro's and con"s of using a carbon paddle?
Got a couple of folks interested in buying my all carbon Mitchell. One is a new OC1 paddler. Not sure about the other. One is new to paddling one has never used a carbon stick.
Just want the new owner to be happy with the purchase. If you like or do not like the choice, please say why.

Jackson Super Fun
Find a classic Jackson Super Fun. Should be able to find one at a reasonable price. Easy to convert. I am 185 before gear and it is tons of fun. You should be able to throw it around more than I at 200. The biggest water I have been on is the UG. Great boat.

Jackson Backband
I have a Jackson backband that came out of a 04 or 0 something Classic Super Fun. It was a demo boat with few miles. Backband looks like it was never used. Will make a more than fair trade if you want it.

Hey Bill
It is inbetween my Superfun and Nomad 8.5. I just am not paddling it enough to keep it. Trying to learn how to paddle the Superfun is keeping me somewhat busy. Learning how and when to lean forward or backward. Seems I am over a bit more often but, not so bad yet. Never could surf the GT. Will miss ...
