Make sure the back of your seat is high enough that you don't slide backwards, and that your thighstraps attach pretty close to your body in the center. A lap belt helps too, but that will work so well that you'll have problems getting out of your boat if you miss your roll. You can also put somethi...

I'm waiting too. I'd also be willing to pay in advance if it would make the boat a reality....

Yeah, I've also been waiting for the fatboy, which I'm assuming would be a creeky wheelboy. The wb, partly because of it's length, partly because of the balance, and partly because of the small cockpit (which gives better contact between your knees and the boat), is a boofing machine. And the hull i...

Why not glass them? Actually, I've gotten away from thighstraps in mine--I use a lap belt and a piece of 1" minicell that I squish between my thighs and the cockpit rim. Much better contact than thighstraps, and much easier to get out of. I didn't like the smaller cockpit of the wb at first---entrap...

Hey cool, you've got my old boat :) I think it's an aerobat. The deck is curved outwards a little more than an acrobat. It's a really nicely laid-up boat--carbon/kevlar, vaccuum-bagged and all, build around 1996. It would be be better if the deck was flat... BTW, congrats on the green race. You beat...

I really don't think being a rightie or leftie really has anything to do with left and right handedness, other than that someone early on said "your left handed, therefore you should be a leftie." For that matter, I don't really believe in left or right handedness at all, except that someone early o...

You've probably found a drysuit by now, but if not, I have a Kokatat goretex drysuit that would fit you. It needs new gaskets, but otherwise it is in good shape.

I agree, Bailey's are excellent. But there's a waiting list. I'd really like to find a used one out there...58" spoon.

looking for c-1 creek paddle

looking for a pretty stout 58" spoon blade canoe paddle, wood shaft, wood or carbon/wood blade. Anybody know any retired canoe/c-1 boaters who would have an old paddle?

It depends on what you want to do the most. If you're looking for an easy boat to throw around, I'd say the Skip. Those other boats have more volume and can loop better, but cartwheels will be harder.

Mad about the wheelboy

OK, I paddled Will's on the Ocoee a few weekends ago and had my own by the next weekend. I think that by itself should say something. I've had one now for about three weeks, and I'm still amazed every time I get in the thing. You expect playboats to be a tradeoff between certain things--hull speed v...

I have an 8.5. I'd go with the larger one. You might want a playboat to be small so you can get the ends under, but in a creekboat, volume, volume, volume.

Nomad's a good boat.

Vibe, $500

Great freestyle boat, very aggressive rails good for carving, blunts, etc. Great boat for fast waves and aerial tricks.

Good outfitting (foamed out Dagger pedistal, hip pads, thigh straps, and lap belt).

Good cond, yellow.

I'm in Atlanta, but I can bring it to the Ocoee.
