Re: Modify a Taureau for kids - advice?

Don't see the value add. If they are having issues paddling it its too big for them. In a few years you'll wish you would have left it as is if they grow to like paddling canoes! My $.01!

Re: Soul Waterman's Fanatix

Saw the images on FB a bit back...interesting! Ian T. said some nice things about it, as did others, yet I'll wait until the mortals have a go with it. Looks promising!

Re: I need to demo some Millbrook boats.

Not at your age yet but understand the interest. I'm going to be looking hard at the Blink (Stink eye) since it matches what I paddle and I have paddled a couple and like its design and how it matches my paddling style .... so the 20/20 makes a lot of sense in my mind as to your search!

Re: Help

Have to agree with Pat... the Rodeo might be a tad small for your weight range. I paddled one shortly and it was a handfull of fun at 5'8" / 190#. That said you can still use it as a learning tool to assist skill development. Not sure the class you have it on but do know you need to actively paddle ...

Re: Mohawk Maxim trash?

Depends on your size and skill sets.... Found that larger paddles >180 and boaters that were not interested in a really playful aggressive platform didnt enjoy it it. It was okay for me ~190 but newer models are more enjoyable. That said if at a good price and willing to put in the time to dial into...

Re: C-boat for 120 lb 11 year old to learn - which to pick

Hummmm tough call. I'd put him in each and let me paddle about to see what he likes and looks to be a good fit. A lot is based off of what he is paddling (H2O wise) and his overall attitude to actually paddling. Just remember whats good today might be stale tomorrow. :-) Good luck! Great great them ...

did you check the polarity of the wiring? swap the contacts and test. I had one pump that was very fickle as to that.

Re: Comparing new OC-1 solos for 200+lbs

Pat you check out the Octane line. Big Al is rocking the 91 on the Upper Yough and a newbie was in the 85 and was really happy (moved down from 91 at 200lb). Condor might be an option too... once I get in it I'll post on it... The Option I agree is more twitchy, more so than the Octane but the Optio...

Re: Pyranha Prelude for sale. ***PRICE DROP***

Just bring it to GFest... it will sell... thats an awesomely cool boat. I only handed mine off cause she was dead to me and only class 2 worthy (even after all the welds / fixes). Plus it got a newbie rolling into the world of canoeing!
