It's going to feel odd to kneel on for a long time. I you have the ROM, don't worry about a higher saddle. I recommend spending some time experimenting with different shaped knee pads... probably thicker, softer and longer than usual. The more you can kneel on your shin rather than your patella the ...

The falline pogies are great but you need to have a pair of gloves in in your pocket in case of swims, rescues, lost paddles etc

The ledge is a great boat but I wouldn't touch a used ledge due the cracking issues. I ve never paddled an octane.

Strap works ? I can't say that they re any different then what you have. What difference does it make if you have to open them to 90 to get them to release?

I m also "fine" but tolerable and comfortable aren't the same. For example, hammocks are comfortable, bike seats are tolerable.
