Re: Helmet Advice

Hi Riverken, Thought you were in the Great White North? Certainly, you will be most safe in Canada. Perhaps a foil helmet will protect you most there. If you're really interested in protection, try a "Make America Great Again" helmet from our President. Check Absurdity.com for sizes. C well there!

If all other options fail, you are welcome to the vinyl gunnels and decks from a 2003 Dagger Ocoee at no cost- other than you pay the shipping cost from Maine. I would also be pleased to deliver at ALF 2012 in Lenoir City. Simply collecting dust amongst my vast supply of Dagger Ocoees... I'm at the ...

I could send you a couple of the square style d-ring patches that I bought when Mohawk closed a few years ago. Blue vinyl with red two inch webbing with square "rings." Measuring 4 1/2" x 6 3/8" with half round ends. I also have some of the North Water d-rings that measure 5"x 7" with clipped corner...

I'm driving from Maine to document that group hug! It's about time we get to the business of boating versus yaping. ALF 2010 is going to be a beauty.

Neg Johnson on the chisel idea... thy last effort shall be to not damage the vinyl layer. Remove the remaining adhesive with a rag dampened with paint thinner and leave overnight and use light pressure with a putty knife. The adhesive will roll off like a snot on your fingers- no personal experience...

Kaz is spot on. Another put-in is at the Bemis Bridge (suspension foot bridge) across the Saco. About five to six miles northwest of Bartlett park in the lot on the right. Paddle less than a half a mile and carry left around the gorge- look for a beach area as a landmark... depending on water level....
