Re: what to buy what to buy !?!?

Hi! I am new to WW open boat too (since 2019). I have paddled zephyr and tried the L'edge! If you are buying, I might suggest getting the L'edge--more stable than Zephyr and it is easier to catch small eddies with the shorter length. Better yet, if you can find a SuperLite l'edge, that would be gold...

Looking for instruction / feedback: WW open canoe (southern WI)

Hello! I started learning WW Open Canoe in 2019. I am in love with it. I have been taught and given feedback by 2 dear friends who are ACA instructors and C1 Slalom racing athletes. I also received a 3-day private instruction at NOC last month--it is greatly beneficial. I realize that there are some...

Re: Learner Boat--Advice most appreciated

Hi, I like the Zephyr, except for the twin-tex material--while it makes the boat lighter, patching it up is a doozy. Since my Zephyr is out of commission, my experienced boater friends are giving suggestions on what'd be the next. I think Ovation and Ocoee is quite a bit shorter and lighter than Out...

Learner Boat--Advice most appreciated

Hello, I am new to solo WW open canoe--first paddled in 2019. I had a choice between Esquif Zephyr and MadRiver Outrage. I am small (5'4", 133 pd) and not great with upper body strength. The MadRiver was too big and heavy for me. I have been paddling Zephyr last season--nothing extreme, and still le...
