Re: Silver Birch Covert 9.3

I know somebody selling one but they're in SC though will be traveling to MI, possibly hitting some releases where a boat could possibly be handed off and find its way to you. Feel free to message me.

Re: Spark vs. Ocoee

FWIW, I paddled both and enjoyed both. If you slalom race at all, you'll favor the Spark but won't be outclassed in an Ocoee. The Ocoee is perhaps more versatile - people creek and playboat in them. I wouldn't turn either down...

ME in great shape. Selling for a friend who has let us use this for many years (introducing all 4 of our kids to whitewater). Originally picked up from the factory in Vermont. Currently set up for an adult plus kid. Hull is in great shape, woodwork is solid. $750 firm. In Lexington, SC. Could bring ...

Re: DRY SUIT RECOMMENDATIONS

I'm on my second Stohlquist - all the features and a great price. My first one lasted almost 8 years and was made in the US. They have since been bought by Aqualung, I think, and it's made in Mexico, but... same features and great price...

Re: Ash Gunnels

I'd be interested if I could get longer pieces (17') and shipped reasonably, but that quickly becomes a huge factor in the cost. I've switched to cherry as I can get it locally, at least up to 16'.

Re: Team Silverbirch USA

If my friend hadn't lost his footage, I could have offered some of a bad paddler in a great boat surviving an intermediate run.

Re: FS: Zephyr

I won't make it up to the Gauley this year, but could conceivably get it transported. I don't know if it helps, but we get up to Greenville, SC pretty regularly and Charlotte occasionally.

Esquif Zephyr for sale in SC. Pedestal and strap set up - anchors are intact. No damage/cracks, just normal wear. I spray painted the bottom (black) as a way to deal with the fiberglass fuzzies. Found that article - https://www.bicycling.com/training/health-injuries/deep-vein-thrombosis-a-hidden-risk-of-being-a-healthy-active-cyclist" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Something I'm keeping in mind as I find myself pedaling more than paddling (it's something I can find time for -...

Re: C1 to OC1 or not

As we age, circulation is a serious concern - even for the fit. Maybe even especially the fit with low resting heart rates. I read an article about mountain bikers, injuries, and deep vein thrombosis that was concerning. I need to find that article... That to say I think saddle height and getting ou...

Re: Question

Consider a bigger boat that will accommodate a taller saddle. A friend of mine (a kayaker) has knee issues - I gave him a hard time about dragging his boats one time and he said - "with my knees, I can't carry them any more but I can drag them - I'd rather drag them than sit on the couch" - so... if...

Re: Ledge or octane

I took my sons out paddling on our local run the other day - me in my Covert 9.3, the younger one in a Spanish Fly, and the older in the Zephyr. Noah (the older one) is taller than me but the same weight (225) and has paddled the Zephyr numerous times. He was not feeling comfortable (stability) and ...
