Great Article

Liskahon, I loved the C1 creeking article. Since I started paddling in a K1, I must say that I find everything you wrote to be true, at least to me. I was a pretty competent K1 paddler before I changed over to C1 and I'm now up to about the same level, but it took me a long time to get here. As K1 p...

Stonycreek Rendezvous?

Anyone heading to Stonycreek this weekend? I'm planning on driving out Friday Morning to run the race Friday afternoon in my acrobat, then paddling Sat/Sun in my wheelboy...

Here's what help me...

wwrunner, Welcome to the group… When I changed over to paddling C1 a few years ago, there are a few things that helped: First, I spend a lot of time at a pool session so the first time I hit the river my roll was bomb proof. Believe me, you will need it! Second, don't be temped to get back in the ka...

Paddling

Squeakyknee, I'd love to be able to paddle with other c-boaters. I have a lot to learn about paddling C1. I'm just now getting to the point where I am about as competent as I was in a kayak (not really saying much and that was years ago, before I saw the light), but feel I'm still missing some basic...

Pagan

Yeh, I'd love to try a pagan. But I would hate to get hooked. I'm hard on boats, and not the best at composite repair... Not to mention that I don't have that much cash laying around. Besides I need to get a creek boat first.

Here is another link to a Wheelboy at diagonal ledges. Sorry, it took me so long to get it out there, I had to get a copy to upload it...

Knee Pain - Help

I'm having some problems with the outfitting in my Wheelboy that I’ve never had before in any other boat, and was curious if anyone has any recommendations to resolve the problem. After a few hours of paddling (which typically involves a lot of play boating), the ligaments on the inside of my knees ...

Burn vs. Diesel

Is there anyone who can give a comparison of the Burn and the Diesel? They seem pretty similar to me, but haven't actually paddled either...

East Race Armada?

Hey, maybe we should try to get an armada setup for up there. It's a great place to try different boats, not to difficult and lots of play.

Photos Link

There is a person who take photos at the "V-Wave" and I found a couple of shots of you. They're not the best pics, but here you go just the same:

East Race

It's like paddling in a ditch...(bring an old paddle the concrete is very rough) No, it's not really all that bad. The is one real fast wave hole, one decent rodeo hole and another good wave. If you're into playing a lot it's not bad. If you're wanting to get up there and practice river running skil...

NRS?

Did you check NRS? It looks like they have youth sized farmer johns , splash jackets, and PFDs that may work for your duaghter (at reasonable prices).

Kayak

I started kayaking about 8yrs ago and fell in love with playboating. I got pretty good at it in a kayak and being from Indiana wanted more of a challenge while playing around in the pool. Around the same time I saw some video a couple of my friend took of Barry Kennon in CO, and thought C1 looked al...
