Looking for a warm up...

So, after having been basically off the water for nine months (life, and impingement syndrome intervening  ), I'm going to be making my way out to ALF territory at least for the first weekend. Before I start hurtling myself and my boat off 50' waterfalls, is there going to be anybody doing som...

Was out there too - saw the son get stuck in a hole sideways. Looked like the boat was very stable and dry. As far as strength and durability goes - if memory serves, Composite Creations does a fair bit of business building pontoons for float planes. If it's good enough for the FAA...whoops-scratch ...

G Flex is great!

Bought some from a West Marine store here in TN - used it to repair a cracked inner hull on an ABS boat. Easy to work with, and appears to match nicely with the "flex" of the material. :D

Fly/Prelude

Out of curiousity, how many of the Mobile Adventure Preludes made it over to the US? I recently bought one of them off another poster here on the board... :)

So I didn't get up the to the Hudson Gorge like I planned  ...spent yesterday herding a noob butt boater down the Hiwassee, and the place was CRAWLING with cboats (yes, I know it's just the expletive-deleted Hiwassee, but it was good to see people representin'). ANYWAY...there were three or so...

Interior hull repair

Just picked up an original Mobile Adventure Prelude (Thanks Jim!) to add to the mess in my basement. The outer hull is in good shape, however there are a couple of small cracks in the inner hull towards the stern with some minor delamination. What is the best approach to repair these? Should injecti...

Interesting choice

If you're talking about a Topolino...I used to have one before I got off my butt and on my knees. I can only imagine that as a C-1, it would be like paddling a plastic log. Be prepared for lots of unintentional rolling practice.

Paddling idea

You might want to try Hudson River Gorge on Memorial Day Weekend - myself and my family have been going up there for 30+ years (yes, I did the Hudson in utero ). You can check out the Gorge on any number of websites, it fits the difficulty level. Sacandaga and Schroon are nearby for a short play run...
