Re: Looking for a solo flatwater boat.

Hey Tony it'd probably be worth while to give Ed a call at Tussey Mtn Outfitters. He has some used boats around and he's really into camping trips and such. He may be able to hook you up or put you in touch with someone who has a boat they want to sell. TMO 814 355 5690

Re: backlund paddle

First of all, you are a very lucky person to score a Backlund. I would get in touch with Jim Snyder, he's very familiar with Backlund sticks and will work on them. I'd bet you can get whatever you'd like done to it plus an overall refresher to it from him. It'll be worth the couple bucks it costs an...

It's nice to see someone actually nailing lines and sweet boofs instead of just sliding down the steeps. Skills instead of just nads. RESPECT.

Google deep creek whitewater release schedule and you'll find a calender of all the scheduled release dates and times. Or call 315-413-2823. Thats the pre-recorded message for daily and weekly releases. I'm assuming you're talking upper yough cause the lower yough doesn't have a schedule. It's alway...

It's up to around 4.5 again mid week but they cut the dam back on the weekends usually when it's this high. The lake is really full they're just unloadin some water. It'll be good on the weekend. I know all the lines at every level so there won't be any issues. If it's real high we have a couple rea...

I don't know that there is a cut off for private boaters. I've never been confronted about it and I've been on it as high as 13'. I could see them having an issue with private boaters on a busy weekend at levels above 8 or 9 feet. It really does get big. Rivers end is the real deal.

I ran it one time and although it went well the consequences are serious enough that I wont do it again. It scared me for sure. I was in a detonator at the time and it was slow. I walked the approach drop and put in the eddy on river left just above it. Nolan ran it years before me. I also know some...

Awsome boat. So simple yet so good. I really wish I had one, and I don't say that about many boats. It's one of those very few boats that you'll never get rid of. I'm jealous.
I mean, it's a piece o crap. I'll do you a huge favor and take it off your hands. :D
