Anyone in the Asheville area (or heading through the Asheville area) heading to the Armada have room for a potato chip (a.k.a. the Maven)?
Thx.

Unfortunately it looks as if my best laid plans are going awry and I won't be making it this year. Shame too, seems like the last time I cquirted the LY it was a bunch of water then too. On another note, is anyone heading up through Asheville to the Armada? The Maven is itching to go up north and I'...

You folks are making fun of me :x because I was in a kayak on Sat. Even thought it was a squirt boat (And YES Huge I saw you almost kill yourself running to get that camera of yours when you saw me in it)! " Can we just share the love! Armada....
As usual, I had a great time. With great pleasure, I pass along the mantel of Cquirt Champion of the Known Universe(s) to Seth. I'm just happy to be in the same category as him! All of the awards in the world wouldn't be enough for PAC's dedication to herding this motley collection of boaters every ...

Acrobat
Here is my Acrobat, I was about 170 then so it should give you a starting idea of what is possible. http://www.skoboatin.net/images/image0.jpg A couple of my thoughts as well as a couple of points that bear repeating. Seat height is very important in a squirt boat. I think mine is in the 5 to 6 inch...

Whole river experience
"To go boatin and to not swim is like openin a bottle of wine and only smellin it ........you just ain't enjoyed all the river has to offer." - Louie That's why there are cquirt (and squirt) boats. As for your questions Alden... 1) When the author says, "probably not a good idea," do you agree? No 2...

Where is the all of the above?
Started X-country, then on to snowboarding, then a little alpine. Back to Snowboarding for several seasons. Then messed about with Tele for a year. Back to Snowboarding. Eventually will get back to X-C/Tele for some back country trips. But as Mike well knows our precipitation tends to stay in the li...

TOG status?
Chopped down Birch trees for my first boat while fighting off grizzly bears and wolves. Not really, but I helped build a boat with my dad when I was 6. The paddle was plywood and closet dowel rod. Didn't even have neoprene then. Outfitting was whatever you were wearing to pad out the sharp spots. huge

Cquirt
As the honorary Cquirt Champion (I'm not sure I can accept the title if I didn't get my head wet!) I would like to thank our organizers, hosts and to Jim Snyder who helps make all this possible. I had a great time and I'm not sure the water could have been better. It was great to see all of the usua...

Anyone coming in early?
Looks like I will be arriving Thursday mid day. Anyone else up for a little pre-cquirt, Cquirting? Also, anyone have space for one more at a campsite? Despite my name, I really don't take up all that much space.

P.S. Adam/Sara, nice job on the Cquirt shirt. Got mine and it looks sharp!

Martin,
I know that I won't be in N. Georgia before the Armada, but if they wanted to meet in between where they are and Asheville, I would be happy to bring it up to the Armada.
email me.

Armada dress code...
Is a jacket and tie required with an Armada or Cquirt shirt?
I would like one of each please.
Size? Huge of course. But I could make do with a large.
Looking foward to sinking a bunch of boats soon.
