So this is what I have come up with thus far. I widened the saddle, glued in a pair of ankle blocks and some padding for the toes/feet. I also added a Nalgene holder. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_LqX5iouzQo4/TIA0wtD438I/AAAAAAAAC1k/KOGz_e8il7s/s640/P1010144.JPG http://lh4.ggpht.com/_LqX5iouzQo4/TIA1kf6WO_I...

Thanks for all the quick replies folks! dwd58 - The changeover from the Probe to the Ocoee wasn't as bad as I expected. The edges certainly required me to pay attention more for the first few hours, but I didn't feel like it was a huge effort to stay upright. They still catch me off guard from time ...

Basic lower body positioning for OC1

Hi folks, I've got some fairly simple questions that I was hoping to get some help with. I have a Dagger Ocoee I bought last year as a step up from my older Mohawk Probe 12. The Ocoee is a great boat (holy edges batman!) but I'm having some trouble being comfortable in it for longer than 15-20 minut...

Paddling in Calgary

Hi all, I'm going to be working in Calgary this summer and I was wondering what the whitewater paddling opportunities are like in the area. I have heard rumours of a whitewater park at COP, and I know there are a few rivers in that area. Can anyone point me in the direction of more information? I'm ...

What's running in the Ottawa Valley?

Hi there,

Does anybody know what is currently running in the Ottawa Valley? How are the various sections of the Mad/Pet? Ottawa main and middle? Champlain? Is there somewhere to check this info that I don't know about?
Thanks a lot,

Adam

The twintex plastic doesn't work with the usual royalex-vinyl adhesive, but I believe it does work with the epoxy used for skid plates (strictly personal specualtion after paddling one). It looked to me like Esquif cut little strips of kevlar felt and glued them on over a short piece of rope to get ...

I have a Mohawk boat (Probe 12) that I just re-outfitted a few weeks ago. I used the Northwater Rodeo straps http://www.northwater.com/html/thigh_straps.html (third one down), as well as their kneepads. I just finished 8 days of instructing and playing in the boat, and I have to say the straps/pads ...

If you are looking to get away from royalex, call Andrew Phillips at Composite Creations (519)-659-9938. He is in London Ontario, (which may be too far for you) but he makes OC1s out of composite materials. They are decently light and seem to be very durable, and a bonus is there are no airbags. The...

I ended up pulling off a bunch of vinyl with each patch. However, I recycled the old kneepads and glued them on to cover the missing vinyl and it covers it nicely!

I decided to pull up the stock Mohawk kneepads too, so the D-rings can move apart a bit, and now they fit fine!. I've got all the proper adhesives etc. On a related note, I am trying to pull up the old patches from the lap belt because they are in the way of the outer D-rings. Problem is, it's pulli...

Overlapping D-ring patches?

Hi, I am redoing the outfitting in my Mohawk Probe (OC1), switching from the factory lap belt to Northwater rodeo straps. I have a question about D-rings. Can the vinyl patches overlap (i.e. one corner be glued over the other)? If not, should I trim them or try to reposition them? I like them in thi...
