Corran- To be honest with you, I am not sure what the market really is for a C-boat playboat/all around boat. The fact of the matter is that you would sell some, but you'd also be competing against every K-1 boat out there as well, since most of us are experienced converters. That said, I would sure...

Re: WELL....

Do they still have the TV ads for those things? Aren't they the one that talk about the knife for a while and then say "BUT WAIT!!!" about 5 times? As in: "BUT WAIT!!! Not only do you get the 37 blades, but if you buy now, we'll include these 7 handy knife sharpeners. BUT WAIT!!! Not only do you ge...

so you think a ginsu knife would work for cutting it? It's the only large blade I have  and so far as how high I want the seat, I'm thinking 6" or 7", so I'd need foam to make the seat, some ankle blocks and the knee cups actually, the ginsu 2000 slices, dices, and makes ankle blocks 3 differe...

I have actually found the rowing machine to be fairly effective in upper body conditioning... Its not as target area specific, but its great for the upper body, shoulders, and back, and also the lower body, so you won't end up looking like popeye

I just put an old OC saddle in our aftershock, since the Dagger C1 console is no longer made, and would be a better use in our forplay. It worked quite nicely, just barely fit between the thwarts. I have yet to paddle it, but the dagger console never worked that well in such an OC setup boat. If (I ...

I regret to inform the c-boat community that dagger is also no longer making the pedestal. Kayak outfitting is sold out, but they're trying to get the mold. FOr the mean time, it seems that my favorite outfitting system is getting tougher to find....

for good easy outfitting I prefer the dagger/harmony console setup. www.kayakoutfitting.com sells the setup, and has a good writeup. I paddle the same stuff as you, but based out of atlanta, so its likely you'll see me somewhere. Look for a Yellow H2 with foam block outfitting, or a yellow Vibe with...

the current rating system also doesn't take into conscideration the type of rapid. If you spend all of your time in big water class 5.0, say the upper gauley, you certainly aren't prepared for class 5.0 creeks... I'd gladly run my playboat down a big water class 5, like say Lost Paddle on the Gauley...

I realize that you're probbably not interested in a new skirt, but a properly sized Mountain surf skirt will not do that. I've looped lots, gotten trashed in holes, dam near gotten pulled out of my boat, and never had it budge. Also conscider an overthruster, because the implosion pressure on the fr...

I have set up my C-1s in the past with extra long thing straps, and used them as backpack straps. I'll put my PFD on the saddle to bring the saddle height up, and then strap her on. This will only work with fairly short sterned boats, but It was great on my Disco, and works on uphills with my H2-245...

I've owned a few paddles so far, so here's my summary: Werner Point- (yellow shaft) I used this for about a year of paddling non frequently, and broke it. It wore quickly and sucked hard. Georgia tech's outdoor club has a few of these, and all are broken in some form or fashion. Norse- GT has a bunc...
