Help Keep the Buffalo National River clean. Hog waste disposal in its watershed is an issue!

Rahark1 4 minutes ago Not sure how much info has gotten out past our state boundaries but approximately five years ago our state environmental agency (Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality) approved a Concentrated Animal Feeding Operation (CAFO) in the Big Creek watershed that would have 5,00...

Re: Training For Paddling & Common Paddling Injuries

Any kind of weight training, exercises, stretches, etc. that you do will benefit any physical activities. Might want to give the body a chance to rest between workouts depending on the extent of those activities. Balance is always something that paddlers should address.

Re: White Water Rebel

Watched this on tv when it first showed. Thought it blew from the seal-launch (previously mentioned) to the end with the K-1 black paddler gang getting its collective butt handed to them by a single-blader. Remember reading that the stunt coordinator (Dean Raphael Ferrandini-listed in the credits as...

Things happen despite the best efforts to avoid them. To those involved in the rescue attempt and those on the trip, there are many thinking of you.

Re: Break down canoe paddle

3 piece AB from Walden's at 127 simoleons. Can't beat it. Put mine under the lacing in the Option.

Just remember that you will not retrieve the pieces, assemble, and use in the middle of a crisis.

It will only be after you self-rescue you and your boat having let go of the primary blade!

Re: ALF/Pre-ALF Workshops

Been to Alf twice. Going back for third time. Got way more drama in a day in my classroom as a teacher than I've seen in my two trips.

And yes, there are some women boaters in the group. Take a session with Eli. You will be a much better paddler for it!

Re: Radical new boat material (the Grumman thread)

At that time, it was the radical boat since it was the only boat. If you over fifty, then you might have got your creds running the large steaming pile of dog doo back then in an aluminum canoe.

Stick with the new school stuff. It works mo bettah. Trust me.

Re: 2013 Outback?

If the video shows using the LP12 assembly, you take off the forsheet racks and place some solid racks that look almost like factory. Only diss is that the spacing between the racks are a bit shorter than normal. Carries 16' boat okay. Several short boats as well. Issue arose in 2010 when Subaru mad...

Re: Good condition Taureau! Available at ALF.

Ian, right now I am waiting for a call from Canada. Got somebody wanting second shot. Will keep this thread updated as it plays out.

FYI, boat has been stored indoors, no repairs, mostly original foam saddle with little alteration.

Re: Good condition Taureau! Available at ALF.

Would like $400 considering the shape the boat is in. Can toss in the original foot pegs if you want.

If nothing else, pm an offer.
