Wavesport Y C1 for sale $375

I've got two c1's just looking to offload the one I'm not likely to paddle much... if at all this year... I just had a kid. It's in fine shape, it's a fence-rail conversion, held in place w/ aluminum bars, the outfitting is adjustable (seat slides up and down). CIP1 VW beetle-style lap belt, hip pad...

cip1.ca or www.cip1.ca - they deal in replacement parts for VW-s I'd stay away from the plastic, they tend to pull out on lap belts, better luck with those in thigh straps, perhaps less force on the buckle (distributed 4x ??) They're about 30 buck each, worth it IMO. The buckles are steel but I've h...

If it's as fast as a nitro ( :-/ ) and has softer chines, why would you paddle this over a nitro?

I suppose the wear would be less on the softer chines. What else?

GO to cip1.ca - they sell VW cam buckles (similar to airplane buckles, only steel). I've had mine for a few years now, no rust. You can get two pairs for about 60 buck. It comes with straps too. I just drill a hole through the top of the buckle and BLAMMO you have a hole for a grab loop.

I wonder if they ever sit around after a paddling session, saying, "hey, you know what would be really cool? If we invented shorter sea kayaks so we could actually enjoy the chop, instead of getting tossed around in it"... Hopefully they're not too far down the design process to realize that, well, ...

That was just insanely stupid, probably fueled by a few adrenaline junkies that pulled the "gee i don't know about this" doubters into the boat. What i don't get is how they got pulled into the turbine tunnells. I would have thought that the turbine tunnels would have been upriver enough of the drop?

One difference with this boat vs other composite/glass boats are the bulkheads - they provide a huge amount of rigidity to the boat. Also it's not much lighter than a royalex boat because the layup is considerably thicker than a high-performance/light composite boat. You can pretty much configure it...
