Knee replacement question
I'm looking at knee replacement surgery in the near future. Has any had this procedure and continued to paddle a C-1 or open boat? Thanks.

Hi,
Do you still have the Cascade? If so, what kind of shape is it in?

wood paddles?
I have a Silver Creek paddle which I am reluctantly accepting is not long for this world. I have had it since Dagger first started making the Cascade (no, I don't really want to know when that was) and despite my best efforts it is showing its age. So who is making quality wood paddles? Opinions and...

c-1 instruction
Can anyone recommend a good c-1 instructor? Looking for someone to work with a rusty intermediate/advanced paddler to sharpen some skills and shake the dust off.

WTB C-2
Looking for a C-2 for occasional river running for my wife and me. I'm open to just about any design as long as it will hold up to a reasonable amount of river abuse (so light race layups are probably out). Any ideas?

Dislocations
Multiple dislocations. Left shoulder (I paddle lefty, so it was my bottom arm) while on extended low braces in turbulance. Best I can figure, I let the paddle and my arms drift behind me instead of being perpendicular to the boat. I was in a C-1 not an open boat if it matters. After the 4th or 5th d...

Hudson gorge question
Can anyone compare the Indian and Hudson gorge to runs in the mid-Atlantic for me? How does the Hudson at low levels compare to the Cheat canyon at low to moderate levels (1.5-2.5), the New at low levels, the lower Yough at 2-3 ft? Thanks
Kevin

dates
If we are voting on dates, the 9th to 18th works best for me. It's spring break at the school where I teach. I and one or two of my students will be coming if it is that week.

shoulder dislocation and possible surgery questions
Dislocated my shoulder this past weekend (4th time in 3 years) and I'm looking at the possibility of surgery to repair and tighten it. Having an MRI next week to see how extensive the damage is, but the orthopedic surgeon I am seeing says that at this point the only way to reduce the chances of futu...
