Re: Question

... a year since mine was replaced and I have very good range of motion, but it still feels "odd" when kneeling. I padded open boats for well over twenty years before switching to K1 due to knee issues about 10 years ago. Now, arthritis in my back makes paddling K1 painful, so I'm thinking about ...

$25 Buffalo Canoe Project. Can I fix it?

Hi, I was hoping to get yall's opinion on this. I recently bought a 16' Buffalo canoe for twenty-five dollars. I don't own another canoe and don't have enough money to buy one that I would want so I thought what the heck. ;) I really love the classic Blue Hole OCA look ...

... Word that came to mind when I saw it on the rack included, crème Puff, cherry, and unspoiled. Looks like she's been in a uv proof time capsule for twenty five years. Want a pristine piece of royalex ww history for half the price of a brand new boat? Here you go...

Re: Shorten Iliad Paddle

Got word back from Norse. Twenty bucks plus shipping for a grip. Seems a little spendy, but if I understand him right, he'll match the inside and outside diameters. I'll have to mull this over for a bit. Is there anything online about making the T-grip from a dowel?

Yup. Twenty years ago the UY was a class 5 and now it's only a class 3. In another five years it will only be a class 2 and therefore suitable for boy scout troops to paddle it. The rocks must really be getting softer. Either ...

Re: Canoe instruction... why do so few of us pay for it?

... The reason more canoers dont take instruction is because we are all cheap. What other sport do you see gear taped together and patched up for twenty years and one were everyone is an expert. When I was teaching a bunch I would set in on anyones instruction I could I think everyone needs some ...
