... that so many of us like. Other boats include a Meltdown (UK boat, not sure I'll ever find one), a Shaggy Jedi, and at least one of the Noah "Atlantis" series. I try to "limit" myself to boats that 10 or more have been made of (as such the Oxygen counts, but really the Mentor, Maven, and Ceemweaver ...

Re: Width and Stability (good article)

... I posted a picture in '06, https://cboats.net/c_db/list.php?type=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Scroll down to the yellow Atlantis III. It is a funny design. All the weight is in the bottom, the top is so thin as to make it difficult to exit. It remains in remarkable conditions ...

Re: C-1 recommendations?

... I had thigh support from above and from the side, which made rolling easier. The only c-1s that sometimes had too small cockpits were the Noah Atlantis series. The cockpit on my Dagger Zealot was just the right size, and was placed for optimum trim. Leaning forward a bit to paddle hard did ...

Re: Boat of the Week - Perception Slasher

... cockpit? I thought the cockpit rim was larger than usual. You mean the cockpit inside was small? A friend, who had run many things in his Noah Atlantis, bought a Slasher, and after a couple of OK trips on easy stuff, took it to the Ocoee. He must have flipped and rolled three times before he ...

... felt cold water coming up between my feet. My Sage was known as "Miss Piggy" in our Georgia c-1 circle. A friend was always trying to sell me his Atlantis. "Try this, and you'll throw rocks at that Sage!" But I was too big for most Noah c-1 cockpits. Then he tried his Slasher on the Ocoee and ...

Re: New C1 to me

I would tend to use the past tense when referring to any Atlantis being a slalom boat...as in "it was a slalom boat," perhaps 30 or more years ago.

Re: New C1 to me

Which Atlantis? He made more versions, it's the successor of Jape. Atlantis III is pictured here in the CBoat museum. Resembles Jape a bit.

New C1 to me

It looks like I will become the new owner of a Noah Atlantis made by Vladimar Vanha. As explained to me it is a slalom boat. It has never been in the water and infact the cockpit rim has not been installed as of yet. So far I have not been able to ...

... was so unsuccessful that only a must-have-one-of-everything fanatic would spend time and hope looking for one. You might try for a full range of Atlantis's instead. They changed significantly over time. Much better river runners.

The green boat is a Noah Atlantis (sorry for the not-so-great pictures, but we didn't want to try and get it down from the rafters), and there's also a Hydra Duet in the Starrk-Moon ...

Be careful about the age of a used ABS boat. A c-1 buddy of mine switched to an ME about a dozen years old when his knees got too bad for his Atlantis. We were clambering down to the upper Conasauga from Chicken Coop Gap when his ME got away from him and slid into a tree at a goodly speed. The ...
