Only down side is that I am having trouble keeping the design simple.
The spare air thing would definitely be a specialty item. Not all people that downhill ski carry avalanche beacons/air bags. Could be looked at similarly.

Well done everyone.Thanks so much.To me it's similar to avalanche awareness and preparedness, take a course then practice and review prior to each season and this enables the helpful tips,reminders and review everyone can utilize.

p.s. Those push-button things were easy to find at any decent place that sells paddling or skiing gear (they use them in avalanche shovels). I got mine from Mountain Equipment Co-op. If they don't just give 'em too you, they cost $1-2.

I have similar thinking sometimes when I'm assessing a river situation or avalanche terrain etc. - if I died and made headlines, would it be an embarassment to me (not that it matters to me at that point), and would my friends say "he knew better" or would my mom say "I told you so", etc.

... open race' is any age but is boat discriminate. where it allows race spec boats (13'2", etc.) but with a paddler of any age therefore making it different than the X-class. i dont kow what the avalanche is, but i think the rumba can compete in the rec class because of its dimensions.
