Re: Wildwater Boat

... in the US - there are multiple other makers - much faster - 6 mph is easy and 7 mph is fine - much more sporty in the ocean - downwind runs are a blast and you can surf small waves "bumps" - some are open where you wear a skirt and others are closed like a surfski - most have rudders but not all ...

Re: North East Outrigger Canoes?

... used to. The first time I paddled it I flipped 3x before staying on, and I have years paddling in wildwater C1s. But since then it has been a blast. I normally beach launch and it has amazed me the size of the surf that you can break out through - coming back in is trickier and most of my ...

Re: Ledge or octane

I'm primarily a decked boater, but I had a blast in a L'Edge in Costa Rica with Esprit, and am pretty much exactly your size. I think you may find the Octane 85 a bit big, but remember I'm coming from small pointy death traps;) Paddle them both ...

Re: Full cut Acrobat?

Or for something that is very stable and a blast get a Sith:) For a comfortable river runner with high playability you can't get much better. It isn't as fast as the other boats though. As PAC said though, get what you want and have fun. FWIW ...

... runs like I could in my late 40's and early 50's. The water levels have been so good with the El Nino weather pattern that we've been having a blast since last October. I and a 64 year old friend paddled 4 times in 8 days over the Christmas holidays. I'm happy I can still get out there and ...
