Great Condition XL Burn C1 W/Blackfly Saddle $500

Man, it's been a while since I've used this forum but this is probably the best way to reach the market. I have a 3rd gen., XL Pyranha Burn with bulkhead outfitting. The saddle is equipped with foot pegs just like a modern WW canoe. PM me, email me at jatakasawa@yahoo.com or give me a shout/text ...

Good K hulls for C-1 conversion

Hey friends A few years ago, the Pyranha Burn was considered to be the premier hull for C-1 conversion (creeking and general river-running). The Karnali and the Remix were strong runners-up, along with the Bliss-Stick Mystic. Brands have come ...

... includes the original Pyranha float bags (no leaks), Attwood V1250 pump, battery pack (requires 12 - rechargeable 1.2 volt 2600mAh NiMh AA batteries) ... in the photos is made for a Pyranha Everest, but should work for a Burn. I'm happy to give the C1 insert to whoever buys the Fly.

Re: Kayak conversions—and catching up!

Scott nice to C U getting back into the WW. I like Adam have migrated (mostly) to mostly OC1. That said - look for a creeker that is wider - Burn, etc. They will never be a slalom boat but they will be more comfortable. As for a green - pretty narrow and not real comfortable - at least the one ...

Re: Kayak conversions—and catching up!

If you want snappy handling, then the Pyrhana Burn is the boat for you. They even make an XL size, which is pretty wide. This is not based on experience, just an opinion developed from reading people's posts, and seeing the boat in person. It is pretty edgy.

Re: pyrannha burn?

I'm about your size and had an Everest c1, which I've been told is a bigger burn. If I was still into c1 that'd be the boat. But then I error on the side of stability.

Re: Most notable C1 conversion?

Ahhhaaaa there are so many! X, Z, Y Foreplay, XXX, Nomad, Redline, Burn... and the list goes on. I personally like the Zwo. It all depends on the boater and what is being paddled!
Only wish there were more C1 specific designs but we make do! :-)

Re: Burn 3 conversion

A little history, I am 190lbs, 5'9". I moved from an H3:255 to a Burn Large 2nd edition for the past 4 years. It has been a great boat. First off I can fit in it on a 7.5" saddle without my thighs digging in the combing. It was also nice and wide for knee ...

Re: Burn 3 conversion

. . . Generally, I think the boat works well as a C1. . . Thanks, whistlepig. Don't sell yourself short -- I'd still love to hear your impressions, even lacking comparisons: edges grabby? carves on a wave? primary stability? secondary stability? tracks well? maneuverable? rollability? punches waves...

Re: Burn 3 conversion
