I'm at 8" in the following boats: Viper - full cut Acrobat - 1/2" cut Big EZ Forplay I think my new-to-me master cut Acrobat is ~7". This one keeps your attention though. The higher you are the better balance (or roll  ) you need. To get to a lower seat ...

Forplay

The Forplay wouldn't have any more volume than your current playboat, but it would definitely ferry faster. Then again you didn't say you needed more volume- just, "enough volume for the Ocoee." buy mine. http://www.cboats.net/cforum/viewtopic.php?t=4291 ...

Yeah, the Score would probably be a better river runner than the Forplay. Great suggestion! I'll bet the Score wouldn't dive like the Forplay.

Mike,

If you're suggesting a Forplay for the 195lbs-er who is looking for more volume and speed and river running capability, isn't the WS Score a larger version of the Forplay - similar characteristics, but bigger?

... stay away from glass unless you're a much better boater than I am. You'll spend more time doing glass work than paddling. You may want to try a Forplay. It's a gallon smaller than the Big EZ, but has another foot of length & nowhere near the rocker. It's way faster than the Big EZ & spins better ...

... a little...it goes vertical on the stern :D Then you smash the bow & go into cartwheels :P Fat guy + little boat = big fun :D Is Al paddling the Forplay this weekend? It would be tons of fun on some of those waves. It is slicey, but it's a shame that they put equal amounts of volume in both deck ...

... polyethelene for hip pads. It eventually broke where I bent it. I replaced it in that boat with 7/16" cutting board. I used the same thing in the Forplay. It's much stiffer, but takes a bit longer to heat enough to bend. I clamped the cutting board between two pieces of alluminum where I wanted ...

Big Al in a Forplay? That ought to be fun to watch. That'l be a low cut squirt boat for him, I suspect.

I've never tried one, but I think the Rip would be a great C-1. I was looking for a Rip when I found my latest boat (Forplay). The Rip is wide & long. It looks like it surfs great as a K-1. I hear they're real good in the ocean too. The obvious drayback if you're fat like me is the ...
