Re: Burn 3 conversion
A little history, I am 190lbs, 5'9". I moved from an H3:255 to a Burn Large 2nd edition for the past 4 years. It has been a great boat. First off I can fit in it on a 7.5" saddle without my thighs digging in the combing. It was also nice and wide for knee placement. Sometimes it felt short in big ...

But I've converted the wavesport X, necky blunt, bliss stick flipstick, H3-255, burn L, prijon pure xl, wavesport habitat and the 2nd generation burn.

Pyranha H3 255 - C1 Conversion?
Hi guys,
New member from the UK.
I'm taking my first giant leap into a C1... from a 14 foot open. :o
Picked up a H3 255 based on the strength of some reviews of it as C1 I've read here and there... and because they can be had for cheap.
During my Googling, I came across this:

Re: Conversions and knee spread
... WIDE. I agree that knee position low and wide is critical for boat control in a C1. I have a newly outfitted Burn (having just retired a Pyranha H3 255) and the Burn is the best conversion I have paddled to date!

Re: Knees and Ankles are killing me... suggestions?
... a difference. I can sit in the probe all day long and only be slightly stiff. The first time I paddled my new C1 on the river (it's a Pyrhana H3 255 conversion) I sat in it straight for about 3 hours and my ankles were killing me by the time we got to the take out. Since then I've practiced a ...

Re: C1 conversion outfitting?
If you search you can see my H3:255 and Burn converstions. Mine sounds similar to Pierre's. But I have never used the fence rail thing, seems like it would add weight, just glue foam on the rail that came the boat, not glued to the floor. I then cut slots in the rail for the straps. The glued in knee ...

Re: 6'6" 250lbs for a taureau?
... from the Skeeter to the Taureau, both boats had bulk head ottfitting. For whatever the reason, the Skeeter was much easier to roll to me then then the Taureau.
In my C1s (H3:255 and Burn), I have moved to supporting knee cups, straps and no foot pegs. I much prefer that set up for me going forward.

Boats for sale SOLD
Thinning the herd. I have a Tuareau, CU Fly, Big EZ C-1, H3 255 C-1, and Riot Niro 58 I need to get rid of soon. All boats are in East Tennessee. Just make an offer I need these gone.
