Re: Suggestions on solo whitewater playboat for heavy guy
Older design but I had one for many years-LL Jefe Grande. Most of the time I paddled it I was over 200, never quite to 220.

Re: jefe as a c1?
I'd say that if your paddling style suits it, the jefe/grande are two of the best c1's out there... but, it's led by the nose somewhat, so you have to stay ...

Re: jefe as a c1?
I am by no means a C1 expert, but I have a Jefe Grande C1 and I really like it. Haven't paddled any other C1's, so I can't compare, but I am 5'10", 140 lbs, and it's treated me pretty good so far. I open boat about 95% of the time, but do pull out the C1 every now and again.

Re: jefe as a c1?
Works well, I had one for some time, then moved up to a grande as i put on some muscle bulk (nearly 30#). I'll add more info later, on break at work currently.

WTB: C1 Creeker
Looking for a converted Nomad 8.5, Jefe Grande, Karnali, or other similar large volume creeker.
I really hate thigh/knee straps, so something with a foam bulkhead is preferred.

Re: Looking for a Jefe Grande seat
What year Remix? I have a 2011 with the old (more flimsy) seat. I was thinking about trying to retro fit a Grande seat in the 79 (specs line up) because to buy the new seat system and put it in an older Remix is around $316. I paddle the Green and am rougher on the boat. Have ...
