Re: Sep. 13th Deerfield (MA) or somewhere in southern VT/NH?

Shep,
There is a group on yahoo, neriverrunners, that you can monitor for whose doing what where. I may go to the Fife if that is what is running, but there are many other first choices if rain comes.

Take a cell phone...

... lost, you are down an inexpensive card and camera. It uses the same card your working phone uses, so you can review your shots on your good cell "monitor" around the campfire, see what's missing and shoot that tomorrow. Bye the way alternate your cards (buy more smaller capacity ones and label ...

Re: yes bigfoot bags.

The redundancy factor sounds good--being able to inflat remaining bags enough to make up for a failure in one. But having to monitor the inflation of 6 bags instead of just 2 sounds like more work.

Re: traveling with airbags...

... it could. My wife has had a bag explode during elevation gain. She says it can really scare the you know what out of you. I leave bags in, but monitor them while driving if the day heats up or I climb significant elevation. All you generally have to do is roll down your window, reach up and ...

Re: '96 Ocoee blast from the past

That's about right, Scott. I understand the '89 Worlds on the Savage River was logistically a nightmare and crowd control was tough to monitor. Those who were there can speak up about that. It would be great if Scott W. was still hanging around this forum. He should know how much it cost ...

... sheeting such as polethelyne vapor barrier material. You'll use a lot less paint thinner and can soak the area for long periods w/o having to monitor it. Zap

Re: Pump allowed during ALF Tellico Race

Well - 'gentlemen's code' would be enough. you wouldn't have to monitor it - nor should you - as you've said - it's just for fun. I'm sure some people would accidentily flip their pumps on - due to habit... but their peers would just give em sht for it... ...

Re: Lipo bilge pump batteries

... NiMh RC car batteries = 14.4v. You can get a charger that runs of 12 v dc / 120 v ac, and goes to trickle once fully charged so you don't have to monitor them when charging, and so you can recharge anywhere your car is. I typically use it for a weekend and then re-charge. The 3000 ma are really ...

Re: The Eddy McGnarlz experience

I like the raw, basically unedited helmet cam footage. Not boring to me. I didn't get out over the holiday so kneeling in front of the lap top monitor is about as good as it got.
