She has a volume that I appreciate and I do not feel oversized for it as I do in many other boats. The Option, Viper 11, & L'edge all felt too small for me even though the L'edge is just one foot shorter and very similar design. The Viper 11 is of course ...

Galasport CHOP SHOP 4m slalom boat alteration question
... their ears.
This thing is Kevlar and weighs about as much as two loaves of bread. It has several repairs, so it's not winning any beauty contests as it is.
I don't mind paddling a frankenboat so long as it's interesting and fun. And failure is always an option.
Let me know what you think.

Ion VS "mid-length" modern boats
Any comparisons from people that have paddled the Ion and also paddled other shorter, more modern whitewater boats (option, octane, ledge lite, etc)? Coming from a 12ft Outrage, I'm curious as to what the momentum loss is between the Ion and other more moderate "mid length" 8-9 foot modern boats? Also ...

Hurts my shoulder to paddle heavy boats, so looking for something lighter but can still take a beating (aka short) or a highly maneuverable boat. Email me (connor.marland ...
